Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking

Public speaking isn't just about delivering formal presentations; it’s about showing up in meetings and making sure your voice is heard in everyday interactions. In this course, Ruth and Pari discuss tools and techniques to help you gain confidence in finding your voice and being heard, whether you’re presenting an idea, participating in a discussion, or simply communicating with colleagues.

Hi, I’m Ruth

I'm the Hito host and alongside hosting I'll be delivering my own specialist course on conquering imposter syndrome.

Originally from Bradford, I was a senior teacher in a South Manchester state school and supported young people in obtaining some of the best GCSE results in the country.

Since then, I've started several small powerful organisations, RECLAIM, The Roots Programme, Rekindle School and Northern Soul Consultancy, all based around increasing levels of social justice and challenging established systems designed to marginalise diverse populations.

I'm also the professional northerner in the host group.
