Contracting for Success

In this course, Deb and Jake explore the power of contracting to enhance communication, clarity, and accountability in the workplace. Learn how to actively engage in both formal and informal contracting, setting clear expectations with colleagues and managers.
Deb explains collaborative and non-collaborative approaches, providing practical strategies for building mutual understanding and addressing potential challenges upfront.
You'll discover how contracting can foster a more productive team, ensure diverse needs are met, and keep projects on track. By mastering the art of contracting you’ll gain the tools to navigate workplace dynamics with confidence and clarity.

Hi, I'm Deb

I'll be delivering the course on Contracting for Success.

I started working in Local Government nearly five years ago, first running large customer-facing operational services, and most recently moving into transformation. I am currently the Programme Lead for Cambridge City Council's ambitious 'Our Cambridge' project, which aims to redesign the entire council and its services to deliver better outcomes for residents.

Previously, I worked in education across a number of roles in schools and the third sector, including as Director of Programmes for education charity Future First, and Director of Partnerships at the pioneering state school, School 21, in East London.

I am passionate about how great organisational culture can lead to efficient, high-quality delivery in the public sector.

In my free time, I like to do yoga, watch football, and spend time with my cat, Carra.
