Humans in the Office
Meet the team behind the training programme for the 21st Century 'office'.
Hi, I’m Ruth
I'm the Hito host and alongside hosting I'll be delivering my own specialist course on conquering imposter syndrome.
Originally from Bradford, I was a senior teacher in a South Manchester state school and supported young people in obtaining some of the best GCSE results in the country.
Since then, I've started several small powerful organisations, RECLAIM, The Roots Programme, Rekindle School and Northern Soul Consultancy, all based around increasing levels of social justice and challenging established systems designed to marginalise diverse populations.
I'm also the professional northerner in the host group.
Hi, I'm Joaquin
I'll be delivering specialist courses focused on core skills for management consultancy, including budgeting, presenting and using excel.
With over 20 years of experience, I have held Managing Director roles in various foundations and impact investing initiatives, and advised on social, environmental, and climate philanthropy.
My career bridges the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, bringing robust management consulting skills to drive efficiency and impact.
I'm passionate about sharing actionable skills and strategic insights that empower people to effectively advance their professional goals and support their organisations to contribute to meaningful change.
Hi, I'm Pari
My specialist courses are all about anti-oppression and solidarity. We’ll look at using your power for good, including how to take both individual and collective action, a deep dive into solidarity and how to repair our mistakes.
I work with communities, organisations, and individuals to help maximise their ability to achieve social justice. I’m the Director of the Social Justice Collective, a women and non-binary people of colour collective of anti-oppression and EDI professionals.
I have over 20 years of expertise in supporting organisations to use anti-oppressive practice to not only achieve their missions more effectively and efficiently, but to disrupt the inequality that prevents our societies from truly thriving.
I’m a lesbian Punjabi, mum of two, and in my spare time I love to throw clay on a wheel and create ceramics!
Hi, I'm Deb
I'll be delivering a masterclass on feedback.
I started working in Local Government nearly five years ago, first running large customer-facing operational services, and most recently moving into transformation. I am currently the Programme Lead for Cambridge City Council's ambitious 'Our Cambridge' project, which aims to redesign the entire council and its services to deliver better outcomes for residents.
Previously, I worked in education across a number of roles in schools and the third sector, including as Director of Programmes for education charity Future First, and Director of Partnerships at the pioneering state school, School 21, in East London.
I am passionate about how great organisational culture can lead to efficient, high-quality delivery in the public sector.
In my free time, I like to do yoga, watch football, and spend time with my cat, Carra.
Hi, I'm Jake
I’ll be delivering specialist courses focused on communications and relationship management to help improve how you connect with others in the workplace.
I've spent two decades helping launch social enterprises from 2027 to Ten Years' Time, Future First & InHive to TSIC, Impatience Earth, Good Ancestor Movement and Impatience Insiders.
I'm passionate about making sure that everyone gets a chance to show their talents in the workplace.
